Every year, businesses across the US apply to be included on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies. Businesses must meet certain criteria (such as being US based, privately owned, for profit, and independent) and pass a vetting process, but the real qualification is based on their revenue growth over the past three years.
Businesses must have made at least $100,000 in revenue in 2020 and at least $2 million in 2023. If these criteria are met, their percentage of growth between these years is calculated, and they are ranked among 4999 other businesses that have shown exemplary growth in the last three years.
